Well, not surprisingly, my peri-menopausal brain messed up. The date I will hear about the shibari story is April 30, not April 15. So I have eight more days to wait.
In other news, I just found out that Secrets of the Jin-Hakku has come out in print in the Torrid Topaz anthology! I now have two--count 'em--two stories in print. This time, I'm only sharing the book with three other authors. Next time, maybe it'll just be my name on that cover. Also, Liquid Silver Books is going to be publishing Leap of Faith. Leap of Faith had once, very briefly, been published by Phaze, so if it seems familiar, that's why. I'm very pleased that it's being exhumed.

I recently submitted a story to Samhain for their bondage anthology. I should hear back from them by April 15. For the publishing business that's a lightning quick turnaround time, but I'm still anxious. Fit To Be Tied features a hero who is a master of Shibari, erotic Japanese rope bondage. Stay tuned for updates on whether the story gets accepted or not.

Well, long time, no update! My only excuse is that I didn't want to bother my web designer. But I have a copy of Dreamweaver now, and I'm getting a lesson on how to use it from my wonderful friend, Jeannie. This update is a direct result of her patience and generosity!
The most recent news is that A Wolf at Her Door won an Eppie Award for Best Fantasy/Paranormal Erotic Romance of 2009! Yippee!! I haven't gotten my trophy yet, but it should be coming soon. I never won a trophy for my writing before.
More news later. Time to make sure THIS update makes it to the Internet okay.

I should be arrested for Website Neglect! It's shocking how much time has passed since my last update. (However, if you truly want my latest info, I blog Monday through Friday religiously.)
In a nutshell, I have two new books available: Hostile Takeover and A Wolf at Her Door. The bookshelf on the left has links for more info about them. Hostile Takeover is selling like hotcakes. It's been number one in sales at Liquid Silver Books for the past two months! Wow. I never expected THAT to happen!
I also have a menage tale due out from Ellora's Cave in November as part of their Gemstone line, called Secrets of the Jin-Hakku. I'm very excited about that. Influenced by the Japanese culture, I created an entire world for that book and it was so much dang fun.

I finished my first menage story and submitted it to Ellora's Cave. Their Quickie theme for 2008 was gemstones, and November (topaz) was one of the last opportunities to get in on the action, so I wrote a 15K story called The Topaz Triad. If they accept it, it'll be released in November. Cross your fingers for me.

Hostile Takeover comes out today at Liquid Silver Books! Go buy it! NOW! LOL

My Ellora's Cave editor, Mary Altman loves A Wolf at Her Door! (That's the second book in the Be-Wished series.) I have some editing to do, of course. She gave me a list of adjustments, some minor, some...not so minor. LOL. I'm eager to do them all, though. She's a genius at pinpointing weaknesses in my manuscripts. So, contract should be coming down the pike next week. Yay!

I sold Hostile Takeover (again!), this time to the wonderful Liquid Silver Books. Because this story is so edgy, it will be part of their Molten line. I already have a cover for it, designed by the extremely talented April Martinez. I'll post it on the blog sometime soon. My editor, Maria, will be getting the edits to me next week, but I have no release date yet.

I submitted a partial to my dream agent, Roberta Brown. I so want her to represent me. My kids sometimes play a Crash Bandicoot video racing game in which they can activate these nitro boosters. The nitro gives their vehicles a burst of speed, and that's what having Super Agent Roberta would be like for me. She'd be like Career Nitro. :D

Hard at work on A WOLF AT HER DOOR, the sequel to ALL IN. I'm in the home stretch now, but it's hard to eke out time to write during the holidays. The annual Willoughby Gazette (aka the holiday newsletter) is due and that takes many hours just to write and design, not to mention copying and prepping for the mail.

Well. I was mistaken. My book is only available in print via Ellora's Cave. I tried to get it through Amazon. No luck. Barnes and Noble saw it on their list, but couldn't order it. Borders didn't even show it listed. My anthology-mates assure me it's just a matter of waiting a few weeks.

I've created another Epilogue Blog called, Visiting the Valtieris. This time for Delphine and Cristoforo, the characters from A MAN OF VISION, coming out from Ellora's Cave on September 24, 2007. The pair haven't posted entries themselves yet, but I put up a post-honeymoon chapter there. Enjoy!
Ben has posted on Finding It. He doesn't mind wearing boxers, but has some interesting choices...
